Jalandhar has already witnessed the visits of various celebs from Pollywood industry, but now, the time has come when the Bollywood stars feel necessary to step in the city for the promotion of their movies. Yes, Jalandhar is becoming a hot spot for Bollywood industry as far as films are concerned. Be it the renowned faces of silver screen namely Amir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Katreena Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Sunil Shetty, Ayushmann Khurrana.

On asking the grounds behind coming to city for the promotion, national award winner actress Vidya Balan Kapoor who visited LPU for the promotion of her upcoming flick ‘Ghanchakkar’ shares, “Jalandhar is truly a media hub with warm audience and myriad number of youngsters. The city is now recognized as one of the best cities for the film’s endorsement.”

Sharing the similar reason, actor Emraan Hashmi who is famous for romantic roles says, “Punjab is now one of the best places that we can’t afford to miss for our movie promotions. The people are so loving and encouraging that a positive vibe comes from them. Hence, their love and support forces us to visit this place especially Jalandhar which is already known for its established media industry.”
Visits of these celebs prove to be a positive feather in the cap of city’s prestige. Talking to TOJ, Narvijay Yadav one of the most known PR’s, Director of Specttrum PR says, “Well, the sole reason behind the attraction of the city towards Bollywood is easy availability of sponsors. Adding, it is believed that the roots of print media are in Jalandhar. Thus, whenever any star steps into the city, he gets the complete and wonderful coverage. These are the two key reasons behind their visit.”

The huge crowd from the educational institutes is said to be another cause of film stars stepping to city. Vineet Joshi of Trivani Media Consultancy Services quips, “Punjab is rapidly emerging as a big market for movies. Visiting Jalandhar serves few purposes. One they believe it’s a media hub and of course it is. Secondly, the film stars easily get good and energetic audience in private colleges and universities especially LPU. These universities sponsor their stopovers to their institutions.”
To conclude, we expect the similar visits of other superstars to our city in future as it will definitely raise the bar of city.
